What a full weekend we had! There was so much to do but we decided to just have fun instead of adulting on 100. Training for my half has taken up some large chunks from my Saturdays but I’m loving it so I don’t really mind. I spent the majority of Saturday running and teaching yoga. I subbed for a friend and got an awesome class in. Saturday I ran 11 miles without stopping to walk at all. I am super proud of how far I am coming along on this journey. It’s so peaceful. Running and yoga… such a wonderful combo.
Anywho, Sunday was a FULL day. My sister joined me at church for a super emotional day. Our friend, Becky, was recently diagnosed with a pretty aggressive form of ovarian cancer. We prayed and cried and prayed some more. It was a tough day but a good day. We know that God can do amazing things and we are trusting in Him completely. Eric was super kind and watched the kids for us so that we could go out for a sisters date after church. Jenny and I don’t get sister time without the kids very often so we soak it up when it comes our way.
Before we left I whipped up one of my watermelon/pineapple smoothies to tide us over until I could pick up dinner. Jen loved it which is a total win for me because this chick is brutally honest so be sure to check out my post on smoothies and try it out for yourself! I’m becoming quite the smooth pro, if I do say so myself (spoken like Jay-Z).
Everyone, meet my babe of a sister, Jennifer. Or June. We call her June a lot. You should too, she loves it so much.
Let’s just take a second to talk about Juney. This chick. Want to get to know her? This photo pretty much sums her up:
This is her. driving. with her foot out of the window. with the foam toe thingys from the nail salon still in dem toes.
She’s going to kill me. HA
We had a super awesome time together, it really was a good time. Lots of laughs. LOTS of laughs. After kicking it with her for a bit we headed out to a birthday party for a friends little boy. I gotta be honest, I HATE going to kids parties. I really do. But this was a really adorable laid-back party. There was a little bounce house for the kiddos and John Deere tractors to check out as well as a hay ride. Eric and I enjoyed our time and Lincoln totally enjoyed the time. All in all it was a great weekend spent with great people, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather.
I love love love this pic of Eric. Look at this dude. Super hot. 🙂
Linc could BARELY contain his excitement before the hay ride started!
oh my heart!
When on a farm one must chew on hay. Like papa like kid.
Anyone who knows my child knows that he is utterly OBSESSED with John Deere tractors. Holy crap. I thought he was going to die and go to tractor heaven!
This is Ashley and her birthday boy, Andrew. I think he digs the whole ‘it’s my birthday’ thing. Who doesn’t?! I’m almost 30 and my face still lights up like this on my birthday!
I hope that you had a super awesome weekend!! Here’s to another great week! Cheers!
Love love love,
